IRONMAN Les Sables-d'Olonne takes place on the Atlantic coast of the Vendée in western France. Athletes swim in the Atlantic Ocean off the famous sandy beaches of Les Sables-d'Olonne — the finish city of the Vendée Globe round-the-world sailing race. The rolling bike course winds through the bocage countryside and coastal flatlands. The run is a multi-loop course through the seaside town with enthusiastic French crowds.
